This research will use the concept of LCOE for calculation cost of solar PV. It will be cooperate in current of electricity market from diesel generation. The costs of solar PV will be investigated breakdown considering module costs and Balance of System cost. Up to the date costing numbers will retrieve from published sources.Results will be represented in figures and table.Research design
The quantitative method will be
selected as ideal for this research because the study intends to determine the
numerical data and analyzing for those objectives.
The study plan will involve the gathering of information from the department’s archiving service of Chad. Analysis the levelized costs of energy (LCOE) of solar PV system and diesel generation. Through that comparison the study will explore whether it is economically and environmentally beneficial to use for electricity generation that is preferred locally from the perspective costs analysis.
Typically, mini-grids are arrangements
that are able to provide electricity (AC) for several applications, households
or establishments, distributed in a specific area. So, this system sizing it
depend to many parameters among of them the most important is the city’s
electricity load, and the necessary equipment (e.g. Estimation of number of PV
panels, battery bank) all the three technologies we are going using.
And then we can estimate the load by xx MW, same
capacity for all technologies include diesel generation, after that the
economic aspects will be assessing.
Population &Target Population
This survey study will be conducted in
Dourbali population’s especially public infrastructures (hospital, school,
market, and public administration) and worship infrastructure. The
study population shall consist of 100 respondents. These consist of 10
administrative staff from the public administrations managers, 5 experts from
national company of electricity (SNE- Chad) staff, 10 market business owners,
and 75 include traders and citizens householders of the district.
Data collection Methods
survey and interview methods will be used for primary data collection from de
solar PV diesel engines business owners, traders, public administration
managers. And therefore, concerning secondary data collection should be used
documentary review, books, national library, scientific journals…
stage, the information report about the number of member of the sample who did
and did not return the survey (w.creswell, 2014). So, all the
information from those questionnaires will be reported in a table. And then,
the statistical analysis will care it.
the software will use in this data analysis are HOMER and Microsoft Excel.
